In the coming weeks the USISTD will be transitioning to AIDA!
The 2021 AIDA Congress has been cancelled due to pandemic restrictions. There will be more information later, after AIDA accomplishes more of the steps needed in the change from being the USISTD, for more than 50 years, to AIDA.
Introducing our newest Latin examiner -- Sasha Spitchka!

From the President of AIDA:

In the coming weeks the USISTD will be transitioning to AIDA -- The American International Dance Association. We hope all our members will continue this journey with us!

At the core we are the same organization with the same ideals and quality that we have always been known for. But you will soon begin to see some exciting new things become part of the AIDA experience and membership. We have some very bold plans to make AIDA the most progressive, innovative and most desirable dance organization in the United States and the World.

Current USISTD members' credentials and membership will be automatically transferred to the new organization. The NDCA has been notified of our name change. We will continue to provide training for dance teachers and examiners, enabling teachers to enter their students for examinations, develop new techniques and spread the joy of dance.

As a registered educational non-profit and membership association, AIDA’s mission is to educate the public in the art of dancing in all its forms, to promote knowledge of dance, to provide up-to-date techniques for our members, and to maintain and improve teaching standards. We support our members through updated teaching syllabi and techniques, plus a wide variety of courses, summer schools and congresses.

Whether you are planning to open a new studio, become a qualified dance teacher, enter candidates for examinations, or run an event in your region, we are here to support you to achieve your goals!
